SYNOPSIS
Writer/director Stanley Kubrick's gritty, atmospheric story focuses on boxer Davey Gordon (Jamie Smith) as he tries to save the woman he loves-dancer Gloria Price (Irene Kane)-from sadistic nightclub owner Vinnie Rapallo (Frank Silvera), who sends his thugs after Gordon while he holds Gloria hostage.
The film, which was the inspiration for 1983's "Strangers Kiss," also stars Jerry Jarrett, Mike Dana.
